Where is it?

First floor: Administrative office, Reference collection, Conference room, scanner, printer, circulation desk

Second Floor: Stacks, librarians offices, OIT computer and printing lab.

Third Floor: Periodicals, Quiet Zone, Electronic classroom, Group study rooms.

Computer Problems

Report problems with public and staff PCs at the Library of Science and Medicine to Pam Johnson, Unit Computing Specialist, if you're unable to resolve them with rebooting or other basic troubleshooting (e.g., checking the plugs) or if they become chronic. Provide as much detail as possible including the text of any error messages. Pam can be reached by phone at 848-445-3547 or by email at pamela.johnson@rutgers.edu.

In an emergency, call Integrated Information Systems directly to report outages, etc.

During off hours, call the IIS pager:

732-989-1646

You'll hear 3 quick beeps; enter the number you'd like them to call back followed by the # sign.

You'll hear the beeps again; you can then hang up.

Copying

A copy machine is no longer available at LSM.  Please tell the students to scan and print their documents.

Printing

  • Printers for students who have NetIDs are located in the Computer Labs on the 2nd Floor. Print jobs can be sent from any library computer that has NetID login or from within the Computer Labs. Students swipe their RUconnection cards to print.
    • Rutgers students get $30 on their cards from January - June, then another $30 from July - December. To check print usage or find information about adding funds for printing visit the NBCS site.

Scanning

Public Scanners [flatbed and sheet fed] are located on the first floor in reference and the third floor.

  • Students can use their Rutgers NetID to log in and scan for free
  • Members of the public can charge their scans to a Copy Card
