The 7/7 bombers a psychological investigation c2006

Alicky Sussman, Elizabeth Turner, Barbara Flynn, Ariel Merari, Marc Sageman, British Broadcasting Corporation, Discovery Channel (Firm), BBC Active (Firm), and Films for the Humanities & Sciences (Firm)

"On the day Britain experienced its first-ever suicide bombing, many assumed that those responsible for the carnage must have been deranged foreigners - but they were not.  What motivated these four seemingly ordinary young British men?  This program conducts a chilling psychological autopsy as it pieces together the mental state of the 7/7 bombers during their final journey.  The work of Ariel Merari, of Tel Aviv University, and forensic psychiatrist Marc Sageman is spotlighted as they investigate issues of cultural estrangement, group dynamics and the 'bunch of guys' theory, and the spontaneous formation of extremist cells" -- Container. 1 videodisc (50 min.)

Breaking the silence truth and lies in the war on terror 2004

John Pilger, Christopher Martin, Carlton Television, and Bullfrog Films

In Afghanistan Pilger illustrates how the people suffer because the old warlords are regaining power, religious fundamentalism is rising, and military skirmishes continue routinely; he concludes that the Taliban is re-emerging and that Al-Qaida is still active. Pilger conducts interviews with William Kristol, Douglas Feith, John Bolton, Wesley Clark, and others. In these interviews he discusses the ideas of pre-emptive military action, the real motives behind the military activities in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the historical context of the United States' military policy. 1 videodisc (51 min.) :
