Halls of Fame

AICPA Business and Industry Hall of Fame: No longer being awarded - "The Hall of Fame will honor the contributions of outstanding individuals working in business and industry and promote the CPA as the premier professional designation."

Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs: Babson College created this entrepreneurship hall of fame "to recognize and celebrate the leaders who shape our entrepreneurial planet."

Accounting Hall of Fame: Members of the Hall of Fame are listed by name and by year of induction. Profiles include educational and employment history.

Accounting Marketing Hall of Fame: Annual inductees to the Hall of Fame are listed by year of induction with links to brief biographical profiles.

Advertising Hall of Fame: "The Advertising Hall of Fame is the most prestigious award bestowed in the advertising industry honoring individuals who have set the standard for advertising excellence." From the American Advertising Federation.

American Furniture Hall of Fame: Industry Fellows elected to the Hall of Fame include "furniture manufacturers, retailers, sales representatives, furniture designers, suppliers, association management, and others who have made notable contributions to the development and growth of the American furniture industry."

American National Business Hall of Fame: There are biographical profiles for only some of the laureates and fellows inducted into this Hall of Fame.

Asiaweek Business Hall of Fame: Short biographical sketches of Asian business pioneers and leaders honored from 1994 to 1999. Unfortunately, Asiaweek Magazine ceased publishing in 2001.

Australian Prospectors & Miners' Hall of Fame: This site honors outstanding Australians involved in all aspects of the mining industry: prospectors, entrepreneurs, executives, technologists, and others.

Automotive Hall of Fame: The Automotive Hall of Fame, located next to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI, honors "outstanding achievement in the automotive and related industries."

BoF 500: 500 individuals who are "shaping the global fashion industry," selected by the Business of Fashion trade publication.

Binding Industries Association Hall of Fame: "Founded in 2008, the BIA Hall of Fame is dedicated to those binding and loose-leaf manufacturing industry executives who have gone far beyond the standard obligations to become a dominant force in the shaping of BIA and the business of finishing."

Cable Hall of Fame: Inductees are selected "based on their leadership, innovation and contributions to the people, communities, organizations and institutions served by cable telecommunications."

Canadian Mining Hall of Fame: "The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame recognizes the accomplishments of over 140 people [who] contributed to the success of the mining industry since it was begun in the early 18th century."

Candy Hall of Fame: Sponsored by the National Confectionery Sales Association.

Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame: "The Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame honors the leaders whose creativity, persistence, determination and sheer personal charisma helped to shape an industry and made the consumer electronics marketplace what it is today."

Convention Industry Council Hall of Leaders: "The Hall of Leaders award is the premier recognition program in the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, hospitality and travel industry."

Cooperative Hall of Fame: "Established by the National Cooperative Business Association, the Cooperative Hall of Fame honors those distinguished individuals whose contributions to cooperative business have been genuinely heroic."

CRN Industry Hall of Fame: CRN, a technology newsweekly, annually honors "innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders" of the computer technology industry. However, inductees since 2006 are difficult to locate on the website.

Data Management Hall of Fame: Honorees of the Data Management Association International, the "premier organization for data professionals worldwide."

Department of Labor's Hall of Honor: "The Hall was established in 1988 to honor those Americans whose distinctive contributions in the field of labor have, among other things, elevated working conditions, wages, and over-all quality of life of America's workers and their families and communities."

Derivatives Hall of Fame: These honorees from the financial markets were profiled by Derivatives Strategy magazine between 1997 and 2000.

Direct Marketing Association Hall of Fame: "The DMA Hall of Fame was established in 1978 as a permanent recognition of individuals who have contributed significantly to the field of direct/interactive marketing."

European Automative Hall of Fame: "The Hall of Fame honors technical, managerial and entrepreneurial achievements in the automotive industry."

Food Industry Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame honors "the leaders and achievers in the food industry from the retail, restaurant, sales, manufacturing and distribution channels."

Futures Hall of Fame: The Futures Industry Association, in conjunction with its 50th anniversary, established a Hall of Fame with 55 inductees who have made significant contributions to the futures and options industry.

The Hall of Business: A part of the American Academy of Achievement; profiles include audio and video clips.

IAAPA Hall of Fame: "The IAAPA Hall of Fame was established in 1990 to celebrate outstanding achievement and contributions to the growth and development of the amusement park and attractions industry."

IndustryWeek Manufacturing Hall of Fame: In 2009, this Hall of Fame began recognizing those who have "contributed greatly to their industries, communities and the growth of manufacturing throughout the world."

Innovators Hall of Fame: Twelve legendary entrepreneurs honored by Fortune Small Business.

Internet Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame was established in 2012 to "recognize a distinguished and select group of visionaries, leaders and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the global Internet."

Junior Achievement U.S. Business Hall of Fame: Since 1975, the Junior Achievement U.S. Business Hall of Fame has honored "men and women who have made outstanding contributions to free enterprise and to society." Brief profiles of honorees, listed in alphabetical order.

Lottery Industry Hall of Fame: "The Lottery Industry Hall of Fame was founded by in 2005 as a means of honoring those who have done the most to make the world lottery industry the great success that it is today and their efforts to promote excellence and integrity in our industry."

Meat Industry Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame "is dedicated to honoring distinguished individuals in the U.S. meat, poultry and livestock industry."

min's Sales Executive Hall of Fame: The list of inductees includes links to profiles and video clips shown at the award ceremony.

National Electronics Industry Hall of Fame: "The mission and purpose of the National Electronics Industry Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who have, through their unusual and sustained efforts, contributed to the promotion and advancement of the electronics industry."

National Inventors Hall of Fame: Members are listed here by name and by date of induction. Each profile includes links to relevant websites.

Offshore Energy Center's Hall of Fame: "The Hall of Fame recognizes those persons and technologies that took the [oil and gas] industry to sea."

PhD Project Hall of Fame: Each year, this network of minority business doctoral students and faculty honors "a select few who have greatly inspired many."

Paper Industry International Hall of Fame: "The Hall of Fame was founded to identify, honor and enshrine those distinctive individuals worldwide who have contributed in a major way to the development of the paper industry and its technology."

The Plastics Academy's Plastics Hall of Fame: The original purpose of this Hall of Fame was "to recognize those living Americans who, through dedication, work and accomplishment have contributed most significantly to the growth and success of the plastics industry." Later, the concept was expanded so that "industry greats" could be inducted posthumously.

Private Label Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have "contributed to the growth of store brands in the consumer marketplace."

REBAC Hall of Fame: The Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors has been honoring inductees to the Hall of Fame since 2000.

RV/MH Hall of Fame: "Honoring the pioneers and individuals who have made significant contributions to the RV and Manufactured Housing industries."

Sales & Marketing & Executives International Academy of Achievement: This is SMEI's Hall of Fame, honoring sales and marketing professionals.

Specialty Equipment Market Association Hall of Fame: "The SEMA Hall of Fame honors outstanding individuals in the automotive specialty equipment industry whose creativity, integrity, and accomplishments have enhanced and significantly contributed to the industry's growth."

Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame was created in 1956 "to honor the pioneers, innovators and leaders who built the sporting goods industry."

Television Academy Hall of Fame: Inductees into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.

Tire Industry Association - Hall of Fame: "The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor, preserve and perpetuate the names and outstanding accomplishments of personalities who have brought lasting fame to the tire, rubber and transportation industries."

Top 25 Consultants: Annual selection of consultants honored by Consulting Magazine.

Toy Industry Hall of Fame: Toy inventors, designers, and industry executives honored by the Toy Industry Association since 1985.

Turnaround, Restructuring, and Distressed Investing Industry Hall of Fame: This Hall of Fame was established "to honor those whose outstanding individual contributions have made a lasting positive impact on an industry dedicated to stabilizing underperforming companies, rebuilding corporate value, and retaining jobs."

WITI Hall of Fame: The WITI Hall of Fame was established by Women in Technology International to "recognize, honor, and promote the outstanding contribution women make to the scientific and technological communities."
